St Mark’s proudly generates its own clean, renewable power thanks to a funding award from Rocky Mountain Power’s Blue Sky program participants and the estate of the late Meredith Simmons. This generous grant supported the installation of a solar energy generation plant with three rooftop panel arrays at the Cathedral.

St Mark’s joins more than 159 organizations across Rocky Mountain Power’s service area that, since 2006, have received awards for community-based renewable projects, including solar, wind, geothermal and other forms of renewable energy. This project is one of a dozen selected this year through a competitive-evaluation process.

Blue Sky helps power a stronger future for local areas by supporting renewable energy solely from the west and investing in community-based renewable energy projects at schools, community centers and historical buildings like ours throughout the region.
