Solomon’s Porch Camping Trip

July 17-19, 2026

Need a break from the city and a chance to reconnect with nature, God, and Episcopal friends from throughout Utah? Join Solomon’s Porch (St. Mark’s young adults group) for our second annual camping trip. We’ll spend the weekend of July 17-19 at Timpanogos Campground enjoying good food, good company, and the glory of Creation. Timpanogos Campground features running water and flush toilets, and is conveniently located near a creek and hiking trails for all people of abilities/inclinations.

Young adults (people aged ~18-40) of all stripes are welcome to join in! There is no cost to attend, although donations to help cover the cost of food are very appreciated. A very rough schedule of events during the weekend will be as follows:

Friday, July 17:

6:00 p.m. - Depart St. Mark’s/St. Mary’s Carpool Sites
7:15 p.m. - Arrive at Campground and Set Up
8:00 p.m. - Campfire, Dinner, and Compline

Saturday, July 18:

8:00 a.m. - Morning Prayer
8:30 a.m. - Breakfast
9:30 a.m. - Hiking Group Departs (the hike will be ~2.5 miles round trip, and will involve moderate elevation gain. Trail profile here.)
12:30 p.m. - Noonday Prayer/Cold Lunch
4:00 p.m. - Holy Eucharist w/Mtr. Holly
5:00 p.m. - Dinner
6:00 p.m. - Campfire
8:00 p.m. - Compline

Sunday, July 19:

8:00 a.m. - Morning Prayer
8:30 a.m. - Cold Breakfast
8:45 a.m. - Clean Up Time
10:00 a.m. - Depart Campsite
11:00 a.m. - Mass at St. Mary’s
