The Sanctuary encourages all students to attend worship services on Sundays, whether at an Episcopal church or an ecumenical partner. Worship (gathering with fellow Christians to praise God and celebrate the Eucharist) is an essential part of the Christian life.

There are three Episcopal congregations in Salt Lake City, five in Salt Lake County, and ten total on the Wasatch Front (the area stretching between Ogden and Provo). All are fully affirming of LGBT individuals.

Most folks at The Sanctuary attend St. Mark’s Cathedral or St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. If you’d like someone to accompany you to worship at either of those churches and ‘show you the ropes’, please contact us at example@stmarksutah.org. No car? No problem! Both churches are easily accessible from campus via UTA Route 2 or TRAX, which are free with a UCard.
