Yoga on the labyrinth - tuesdays in september
Join us for an hour of relaxing yoga on the St. Mark’s labyrinth every Tuesday in September. Here are more details.
Join us in this beginner’s yoga series to cultivate strength, flexibility and a greater connection to self. Each class will teach the alignment of common postures and how to incorporate breath into the practice and apply meditative techniques. This is an all-levels class, adaptive to the body-types and abilities of those in attendance.
About our Instructor, Lauren Holman, RYT 200, BA
I teach yoga as a path for greater self-awareness and personal transformation. Each of my classes has a component of yoga posture, pranayama (breathing technique), and meditation that will give students the space to develop a deeper relationship with themselves. One of my guiding philosophies for teaching is to modify poses to work with the body so that yoga can be practiced safely and with maximum benefit for different body types or abilities.
My fascination with yogic philosophy started in my early teens. Yoga has taught me discipline, physical and mental strength. My love of Ashtanga yoga took me to Mysore, India, where I delved deeply into the traditions and practices of the discipline.
