ADULT SPIRITUAL FORMATION
Sunday, September 9 - October 28
9:15 AM in the Bates Room
Take a journey through the Book of Common Prayer, the Christian life, and basic beliefs of our faith, guided by two Episcopal priests-Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe. Walk through the liturgical year, the sacraments of the church, habits of daily prayer, and the teachings of Anglican Christianity. See how our prayer shapes our belief and our lives and how our beliefs lead us into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Copies of the text are available through the parish administrator.
Facilitators: The Reverend Tyler Doherty, Priest-in-Charge, Tom Melton, Senior Warden, and Dr. Lindsay Adams.
Topic for September 9: The Anglican Way of Christianity, The Sacraments and Sacramental Rites.
Wednesdays, begins September 19
6:00 PM in Dean's Hall
Walk in the footsteps of faithful men and women who have done their best to follow God's call. We will use The Path: A Journey through the Bible to facilitate this ongoing 26-week offering, which will provide participants with a great, passionate arc of scripture from Creation to Revelation. We gather each Wednesday evening for a potluck meal followed by an informal discussion and reflection upon the assigned texts. The evening will conclude with Sung Compline. Copies of the text are available through the parish administrator. Facilitators: The Reverend Tyler Doherty, Priest-in-Charge, Tom Melton, Senior Warden.
